For the 60th anniversary website of the Eurovision Song Contest, co-produced with the Barcelona-based agency Elespacio, Scrn has been awarded the Golden Lovie Award in the category Television. The ‘Lovies’, often referred to as the European Oscars for digital work, are being awarded annually to acknowledge excellence in online creation.
The website, which we produced together with our friends from Elespacio for the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), was nominated by a jury of industry professionals and won the award after a public vote.
In the lead-up to the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU decided to commission the creation of an online experience to celebrate the contest’s rich legacy. The website brings together stories, photos, videos and statistics.
Scrn won the prestigious award for its website celebrating the 60th anniversary website of the Eurovision Song Contest. According to Nicolas Roope, Executive Chair of IADAS and Creative Partner of POKE London, the website produced by Scrn “has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity.”
Sietse Bakker, CEO of Scrn, said: “This award is a great honour and a testament to the hard work of the wider team behind the Eurovision Song Contest, one of the most enduring television productions of our time.”
